Return Policy


All returns are subject to inspection and should be returned in their original undamaged packaging to MG Obsession. Any return must be pre-authorised with MG Obsession and a returns number will be issued. Any returns that are received without a returns number will be delayed or returned to the buyer.  

Please ensure all returns are well packaged to prevent damage and that the package is insured correctly in the event of loss or damage. A copy of the sales invoice must also be included along with the completed returns form (available on request)


Any returns suspected of being faulty will also need a returns number. A completed faulty return form will also need to be completed. This form is available from MG Obsession and it is the customers responsibility to complete the form in full. 



Returns of NEW Parts Not Required - within 14 days


All New products sold by MG Obsession are covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations, This allows a fourteen day 'cooling off' period during which you may cancel your order by making written contact either via letter, fax or e-mail at any time up to and including the fourteenth working day after the day on which you received your purchase. If you exercise your statutory right to cancel your order you must immediately return the item(s) to us at your own cost. The original carriage charges from MG Obsession to the buyer are non-refundable and the return postage fee is payable by the buyer and not MG Obsession 



Returns of NEW Parts not required - within 14 - 28 days


Returns may be considered outside the 14 day cooling off period up to 28 days after you receive your purchase on all New parts, any consideration is at the discretion of MG Obsession.

A 'Returns Authorisation Number' must be applied for within the 14 to 28 day period. Where goods have been correctly supplied and deemed as not required,


All Returns during this period would receive either a credit note to the value of the original purchase (not including postage costs), or the offer of exchange against another product(s) of the same value or off set against higher value items.


The original carriage charges from MG Obsession to the buyer are non-refundable and the return postage fee is payable by the buyer and not MG Obsession


All goods returned for a credit or exchange must be accompanied by the purchase invoice and clearly show the allocated return number. For any electrical item return a detailed report will be required to accompany the warranty form. 


Electrical items- Please note MG Obsession do not offer a BUY , TRY and return policy on any of our products. 



Returns of NEW / USED Parts Not Required - Outside 28 days


No returns will be considered after 28 days unless covered by the terms and conditions of our warranty.



New Parts Warranty 


All new and remanufactured parts supplied by MG Obsession are supplied with a 12 Month (from the date of purchase) manufacturer warranty unless specifically stated. Any part suspected of being faulty must be returned to us within 14 working days once removed from the vehicle, you the buyer must facilitate the return of the part to us at MG Obsession, along with a copy of the original sales invoice and completed Parts warranty form (available on request). Please ensure that as much information is completed as possible, failure to do so will lead to the claim being delayed. All returned parts will be tested and returned to the original manufacturer for further testing. In the event of the part being at fault a replacement will be shipped to you at no extra cost. If no fault is found or failure has been caused by incorrect fitting procedures, incorrect use or has been changed / adapted in anyway the claim will become void. The warranty only covers the parts in question and not any associated parts or additional costs such as garage labour / recovery charges / car hire / loss of earnings or inconvenience allowance. Any part exchanged under the terms of our warranty will continue with the original warranty period from the original purchase date. For any electrical item return a detailed report will be required to accompany the warranty form.

Other returns will be processed in accordance with your statutory rights, if applicable, or our warranty terms.

If no fault is found or failure has been caused by incorrect fitting procedures, incorrect use or has been changed / adapted in anyway the claim will become void. The warranty only covers the parts in question and not any associated parts or additional costs such as garage labour / recovery charges / car hire / loss of earnings or inconvenience allowance. Any part exchanged under the terms of our warranty will continue with the original warranty period from the original purchase date. By fitting a used part you are agreeing that you have inspected the item carefully , it is indeed the correct part and are deeming it fit for for purpose.



Returns Processing


We aim to process any return(s) as quickly as possible typically within 7 working days from the date of arrival. Delays will incur if a relevant returns number and completed forms are not included.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.


Used Parts Purchase

Used parts have been previousley fitted to another vehicle and therefore will always show signs of use. All parts are tested where possible and carry a 28 day warranty, details of which can be found in the used warranty section.

Many used parts will be listed in there current condition as pictured, however some parts will use our general stock images. This will only be for parts such as switches, motors and fixings which will clearly be stated. When purchasing a used part you are agreeing to purchasing a used part and not a new part.

Whilst we try to keep this website as accurate as possible there might be occasions when live stock data is not accurate. In these very rare occasions there might be a delay in dispatching a order.
